RFP FOR MAMMOTH TRANSIT FACILITY UTILITY PROJECT

The Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) is seeking proposals for general contractor services to relocate utilities in the Mammoth Lakes Transit Facility.  This project includes the extension of electrical, water and propane utilities from existing locations within the transit facility to the east interior wall and installation of a vent to prepare for the installation of a power washing system.  Proposals are due September 17, 2014, 4:00pm.  RFP for Mammoth Transit Facility Utility Project

LABOR DAY HOLIDAY CLOSURE

On Monday, September 1st, Red's Meadow Shuttle, and transit within the Town of Mammoth Lakes will be in operation.  All other services including 395 Routes, town to town routes, Bishop, Lone Pine and Walker area servces wlll be closed.

4th OF JULY TRANSIT ROUTES

Eastern Sierra Transit Authority’s Nite Rider Service in Bishop, Red’s Meadow Shuttle and all routes within the Town of Mammoth Lakes will be in operation on Friday, July 4, 2014. 

All other routes will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

ESTA wishes all of our customers a happy and safe 4th of July.

MEMORIAL DAY CLOSURE

AEll Eastern Sierra Transit Authority / 395 Route services will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday 26th, except for the service within the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION

The purpose of the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Volunteer Driver Pilot Program is to offer non-emergency medical transportation mileage reimbursement services to the transportation disadvantaged community: those persons, who because of physical or mental disability, income status, age, or who for other reasons are unable to transport themselves, or to purchase transportation, and are therefore dependent upon others to obtain access to healthcare.A Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) applicant would be approved if he/she meets the following eligibility requirements.          Eligibility Requirements·         Must be Inyo or Mono County Resident·         Must be receiving medical care from a medical facility·         Cannot make the trip because of financial challenge  or·         The applicant is not able to drive him/herself The rate of reimbursement  being proposed will be equal to or less than the IRS Standard Rate in effect, paid up to the maximum mileage allowed for each month for each individual.  The 2014 IRS reimbursement rate for medical is currently 23.5 cents per mile.  To be eligible for reimbursement, each one-way trip must begin or end in Inyo or Mono County. Please contact Jill Batchelder at 760-872-1901 Ext 11 for more information.

New Mammoth Phone Number

The telephone number for ESTA's services in Mammoth Lakes has changed.  Please make note that our new Mammoth number is 760.914.1315.

Seasonal Service to Whitmore Pool

New service will be offered this summer between Mammoth Lakes and the Whitmore Pool.  Service will be provided Monday - Friday with departures every 3 hours or less from 7:35am with the last return from the Pool at 6:46pm.

Red Line Late Season Schedule

The late season schedule for the Red Line will commence on Monday, April 28th.  The late season Red Line operates from 7:00am until 5:30pm with service every 30 minutes.  First bus departs Snowcreek at 7:00am and last bus departs Main Lodge at 5:30pm.

Early Start for Lakes Basin Trolley

The Town Council approved additional transit funding this week which will allow the 2014 Lakes Basin Trolley service to operate a longer season.  The service will commence on Saturday, May 24th and will operate everyday through September 14th.  In addition, the trolleys will use larger bike trailers this summer, which increases the bike carrying capacity of the trolleys' trailers by 33%.
